Schmidt rejects Guardians, LSU frontrunner for top arm

Logan Schmidt, Baseball America’s No. 7 high school prospect and No. 12 overall in the 2026 class, a 6-4 left-hander from Ganesha (CA) and LSU signee, announced he will not sign with the Guardians after their 59th-overall selection — leaving the Tigers as the clear frontrunner to add the top remaining arm in the cycle.
