Top national LHP Logan Schmidt, the No. 12 overall 2026 recruit and former LSU signee from Ganesha HS (CA), will not sign with the Guardians after their 59th-overall pick — giving Jay Johnson a short window to land the left-hander for three college seasons or risk him heading to JUCO for a 2027 re-draft.
